The Uttarakhand government is implemneting the project to build a ropeway between Mussoorie and Dehradun. The project is being implemented by Mussoorie Sky Car Company, led by a consortium headed by FIL Industries. The ropeway, featuring 10-seater diamond cabins, is designed to have a capacity to transport 1,300 passengers per hour per direction. The distance between the two cities aerially is 5.5 kilometers. The project is likely to go operational in 2026.
