Uttaranchal government has signed an agreement with Olectra-BYD, the electric bus manufacturer from Hyderabad. The government plans to buy 500 electric air-conditioned buses with an investment of ₹ 7000 million. It will buy eBuzz K7 (9 meter) and eBuzz K9 (12 meter) models. The buses will have state-of-the-art technologies like CCTV camera, GPS navigation, panic button and many more to ensure the safety of passengers.
The electric bus will have a capacity to travel 250 kms on single charge.
